Made it to Lavon today for a short run. Fished from 14' to 2'. Had 3 or 4 bites. That was it. But, a really nice day with fairly low wind and open skies. Been too long.

Should have mentioned. The water temp ranged from 58 - 62.5 F.

Water was 58 - 59 F. I only caught one crappie and one sandbass. Wind made it tough in the afternoon. I saw one other boat catch a few, but the fishing was tough. I tried a slip cork for about 30-45 minutes...nothing. Still it was great out on the lake. I saw a predatory bird (big wing span). Anybody know what kind of bird would live around Lavon?

You ain’t gonna catch any sittin’ on the couch.

Fishing was tough for me on Saturday. Tried shallow to deep and only caught a few. The ones I got to bite were in 15 foot 10-12 foot deep near timber.

It might have been a golden eagle. I have seen a few over the past couple years.

I snuck out to mallard yesterday, caught 1 solid female on shallow wood, she rode around the cove with me until I gave up tossed her back and went home.
