I just upgraded my fishfinders. Humminbird helix 10 mega si g3n on the console and a humminbird helix 7 si gps g2n on the front deck. I was thinking about returning the 7 for the mega di g3n. Question is, if I have side image on the console, do I really need si on the front too?? So I was thinking the mega di would be more useful. Thoughts??

Si to me is way more informative.. if you add a mega 360 it will do mega si as well as the 360 display. If you connect the two with a ethernet cable you can share the transducers between both units. If you throw in the minn kota your really going to be able to use all the benefits of spot lock.

The mrga di isnt as usefull to me, as locating structure with the SI.
