 I found out what was eating my range cubes off the hook.

I was fishing five rods with range cubes as bait. All five rod tips were dancing, but nothing was taking the bait. I picked up a rod to try and get a hook up. After several tries, I ended up with this guy. Fillet them and eat them. Perch are excellent tasting fish.

Never heard of using range cubes. I can see it being good for carp and such.

Did you hook him in the back when you picked up the rod, or did you decide to fish for flatheads? LOL

Did you hook him in the back when you picked up the rod, or did you decide to fish for flatheads? LOL The bait was big and I hooked the bluegill in the back when I felt a tug. It was a perfect size for a flathead or ten pound bass bait. Unfortunately, I had to stop fishing, so I let it go. It swam off so, it may make it or become fish food.
