I am eyeing a 2002 Triton TR20 with a Yamaha Vmax 225. Boat is in great shape but has an outdated trolling motor and terrible electronics. Just curious what yall think it is worth. And yes...I know it's only worth what I'm willing to pay..LOL.

With no TM and electronics as long as the boat and motor check out and it’s at least a 225 I’d say about $10k. There are some variables in there. Condition of gel coat and top cap, carpet, seats etc. could be worth $12k or $13k if really nice and could be worth $6k if it’s trashed.

Just me but I wouldn't be looking at a brand Johnny Morris has an eye on discontinuing, I'd be very surprised if Triton is still around in a few years.

The boat is worth whatever he can get someone to spend on it. For a 2020 to have outdated electronics and graphs, that’s alarming. Like he’s taken them off that boat and put his old electronics back on to sell?

I’d say that boat with spot lock trolling motor and two graphs will cost another 8-10k. I’d have to get the boat for under $50k to make it logical in my mind with the upgrades needed.

2002 Jerry, not 2020

If boat is in great shape I would not give more than $13k for it. You can pick up good electronics used and get her up to date enough and still be in a good spot and be all in for under $17k.

Which if you consider you now have a 20' boat with a 200+ HP motor you can pretty much hang with anyone on any lake in any condition.

Good luck.

I’d say $13k. I sold my 2001 Triton 2 years ago for that. Had a 200 vmax on it, fortrex, and older graphs.

If you get the price you like I would buy a Triton in a heartbeat. Oh yeah.... I own one and I wouldn't be afraid of any of the Johnny Morris haters.

10k is about right. Little more if it's superb clean. Little less if it's not. Good electronics and that's a 15-17k boat, updated with an ultrex or comparable and modern graphs.
