That may be an expensive stunt too. I'm no expert but wondering if insurance is going to deny any claim made.

It was an accident, no way he should be dq'd. Why would insurance deny a claim? It was an accident. That's what insurance is for.

It was an accident as a result of negligence. That's why he should be disqualified. At least yesterday's catch. Just because he didn't kill someone doesn't mean he didn't exercise negligent operation of a boat. As far as insurance goes, I don't know. Just wondering if you were found to be negligent, does insurance pay. I looks like the question is whether he was negligent. In my opinion, yes. Others may see it a different way.

He was doing what everyone does at tournament take off. Trying to pass boats. He caught a wake wrong.

I will say Ranger looks pretty good here from a safety perspective. He used the bank as a ramp and wasn’t tossed out, engine still ran. I know the boat is totaled, but he survived and made it back to the ramp. Didn’t even look like he lost any rods.

Nope, Dubee ain't alone on that island. He hit the nail square on the head. Seems everyone wants to crucify the guy. Daddy used to say that folks that live in glass houses should not throw stones. We've ALL been guilty of poor judgement at times. Lighten the hell up

HE drives like an idiot, this is how you hurt or kill someone like what happened in that FLW a few years ago

A co-angler in that boat would have thought bad boat driver. There is no good reason this incident should have occurred.

I'm not being an apologist. I just see it for what it is. Most everyone on here that fishes tournaments drives just like that at take off. He might have been one bump high on the trim button. But that makes it an accident. Not reckless or negligent.

Was it also an accident he didn't wear his kill switch? No excuse for that.

No excuse for that. I don't see how anyone thinks he should be dq'd for the accident. But if he didn't have his kill switch on he should be dq'd for that

thanks for this.

Knowing what happened of course....but even at the start you can tell he wasnt heading to a good ending! parallel waves are a bitch.....and dude didnt even look like he was acknowledging them. He's talking trash....but wasnt his recovery attempt even terrible? Hard for me to talk running only a 50hp motor....but his driving seemed to lack lots of instinct on what to do when things arent perfect. Wonder how long he's been running a bass boat
