I installed a Minn Kota Maxum 24 volt trolling motor. I have a Garmin Striker 73SV mounted to it. I have interference on the screen from the trolling motor. It does not occur when I am pushing the power button on the TM, only when I take my foot off. Any thought will help.

Contact Garmin & Minn Kota and see what they suggest.

Your graph is mounted to the trolling motor? Is your graph connected to the trolling motor batteries?

I am sure they are. The dealer did it.

I always run dedicated wires from the cranking battery to the graphs. If the power source is fed from your trolling motor batteries, your almost guaranteed to have interference. Also, you said the graph is physically mounted to the trolling motor, I'm not exactly sure how you would do that but that could also cause interference.

I am sure they are. The dealer did it. Why are you "sure" the graph is connected to the TM batteries? The absolute standard is to not do that, and I've never seen a dealer who did - just individuals who did a DIY install and didn't know any better. So you are saying the interference happens when the TM propeller is NOT turning? (You did say it happens when you take you foot OFF the TM button.) If the interference happens when the TM is NOT running, why on earth would you say the TM is causing the interference? We probably need some clarifications to be able to make helpful suggestions. When you say "graph is mounted to the TM" do you mean the box with the screen is physically mounted on the TM, or do you mean the transducer is mounted on the lower side of the motor housing where the propeller is?
