Anyone know where I can buy some black Stainless Steel wires to make some A-rigs? Searched all over the place and can't find any but they sell black rigs on the market. Might try and Patina regular Stainless Steel but not sure if that will weaken the wire? Any body got any suggestions?

Go to a hobby shop and get the push pull wire for remote controlled airplanes. They come in different diameters!

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

I think you can use gun bluing on stainless, it would at least darken it.

I looked up gun bluing and it said it wouldn't work on stainless. It may work a little bit but I would have to soak the wires for a while. I'd rather just buy the wires already black.

I'll check out the push pull wire for remote controlled airplanes. Thanks.

My first thought was black powder coat.

Second thought would be black wire spokes off a bicycle tire rim.

Then though if something easier:

you can buy a home black oxide kit and make any leader black you want nobody makes them black because black oxide is a rust preventive and stainless does not need any rust preventive.
look on a website called MSC or google it can get a can for about 85.00

That's what I ended up doing and I regret it. Spent 80$ and it takes longer to paint the Stainless Steel then it does for me to make an entire A-rig. So still looking online.

if you are trying to mass produce these you can powder coat look up a company called 3d powder coat in rockwall Texas
not sure where you live
if you still want to black oxide them you can send out to a local plater not all platers black oxide
and not have to worry about doing it yourself i am guessing 150 lot charge for either option
they typically charge by the weight so lot charge is usally up to 100 lbs then they will charge by the piece

Well looks like you didn't like the push-pull wires. They are plenty stiff for making a-rigs and are black in color . I made some three prong one for crappieand they worked great .Just didn't like having to use 20 lb. braid to not lose them.

Man I searched the internet for those and couldn't find what you were talking about. Not to mention I make these to sell to people so I'm not sure if it would be cost effective...Right now I pay about 85 cents for all the wire needed to make an entire A-rig which is 24 inches of wire in total. I did try to search for them though.
