I agree! You said it right though if you fish a creek with lay downs and brush your wallet will take a beating. At BPS they are 3.79 a piece. I leaned to start with a jig and fan cast to test the area I’m fishing. If I don’t get hung up, then I’ll pull out the rooster tail. If the sandies are there they hit it almost every cast. They are worth the money to have 2-3 in your box. So anyone new to creek fishing... take what I learned. Last year I probably lost one of those about every outing. I wouldn’t want to count how many I broke off last year.

I guessed rooster tail before I watched the video. I bought a ton on sale for .99 a couple of years ago... I use white, what’s your favorite color?

2X White for me.
I look for them every sporting goods store I go to.

I have used a 1/32oz. white crappie jig fished on 4lb test line for the past 47 years and it has produced more white bass than anything else out there. The best white bass bait for spawning whites, Hands Down.

I use that 95% of the time too! It works but tends to take a bit more skill to use correctly. This is why I said the roostertail is the easiest to use.
