If I buy one of these, does it come with a mega transducer for the trolling motor
or just a hull transducer?

If just a hull transducer, then do I have to buy a TM ducer on my own?

I assume a mega ducer is needed for mega units?

Thanks for any insight

Tommy

It comes with the mega transom mount transducer

Don't open the transducer packaging, call Humminbird and they will swap it out for the trolling motor transducer

There is no MEGA SI Helix 7 G2N. The second generation is just SI. The G2/G2N comes with the transom XNT 9 SI 180 T. The trolling motor puck version is the XTM 9 SI 180 T. Full model name is Helix 7 CHIRP SI GPS G2 or G2N. The N model is networkable.

The Helix 7 MEGA SI is a G3/G3N. It comes with the transom XNT 9 HW MSI 150 T. The trolling motor puck version is the XTM 9 HW MSI 150 T. Full model name is Helix 7 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G3 or G3N

Thanks Wayne, so, Bass Pro has it listed in their spring sale catalogue as a MEGA G2N
on a final close out sale for $499

What do you think they screwed up............is it a generation 2 with no Mega or is it a generation 3 with mega?

?
Thx

I saw a post yesterday about a retraction by Bass Pro stating no purchase of a Helix 7 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G3N will be honored at that price. Typical clueless [censored] by Bass Pro about anything Humminbird.

The post was on one of the Humminbird Facebook pages.

You may want to verify that yourself since you are interested in a Helix 7.

Could be same thing they did on the 10”/g2 last year with upgraded transducer? Heard people call it a 2.5
