I have an HDS-12 Live and an HDS-12 Carbon and plan to use Active Target.

Should I put the Live unit on the console or the bow?

Like he said both will work with the Active Target transducer but since you have a choice, I would put the Live 12 up front and the Carbon on the console. A buddy of mine has two Carbons and has figured out a way to link them so he can view the AT on both units.
