When the whites are chasing shad up against the bank next month I will break out the #5 rod and a couple blue/white clousers.

I just did pretty good on whites bank fishing on Cowhouse creek up stream from the East Range Road bridge. I caught a bunch but most were small males. They were all catch and release this trip even though there were a few keepers since my freezer is full and I was lazy. I was using silver or gray over white clousers. I put a black sharpie spot in the same position on both sides as you would find on a real shad. I threw the whole tackle box at em and the one I mentioned was the favorite. The other ones that worked well was yellow or white Zonkers with chrome mylar bodies. I caught 21 whites, 4 crappie, & 1 bluegill in about 4 hours on those 3 flies...Also I did not have any flies with blue in them with me at the time. Next time out...… Maybe I will. Let us know how you did.
