 Ultrex/Helix problem

I have a helix at the bow connected to the ultrex. When on the lake today, it quit reading beyond 19’ depth. Any idea what could cause this?

What transducer are you using? Is it that you range is set to 19 FOW on the unit, or that you're not getting any readings at all once you pass 19 FOW?
Do you have a picture of your screen?

I don't have a helix but i had a very similar thing happen with my Garmin 93sv Saturday. Turned out i had zoomed in and not zoomed back out. Hopefully it's something that simple for you.

Are you using external transucer or the built in transducer on the ultrex? I was thinking the zoom thing too as a simple hopeful fix

This was my first time out with this new to me, boat. It’s the typical transducer that comes with the ultrex, so the original. After 19’ I get no readings at all.

It sounds like you are set to 19 foot max depth. You can change that to any depth, or you can set it to "Auto"... For beginners, "Auto" should be your starting point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvB-kFW_W0g

Lower range or max depth is set to auto.
