I'll be visiting some family a few days at an rv park on the southside of Lake Grapevine. Any tips for fishing from the bank. Smallmouth is still on my bucket list, so that's more of the advice I'm looking for. Or Largemouth.

There are not a ton of SMB in the Vine but its always possible. I have fished the lake a good deal and never caught one. But I have seen them caught.

Grapevine is mostly rocks. You could do worse than banging a square bill off all the rocks you can find... they wont be hard to find. If you find some stick ups throwing a baby brush hog in there is not a bad idea.

Good luck and let us know how you do!

Pumpkin/Pepper lizards worked well for my Dad when he used to walk & fish that area. I don't remember any SM, but he caught some nice LMB.
