Went out yesterday with high hopes but it did t turn out that way. Got out to lake and found bait stacked in 18-20’ and deployed the trolling motor only to find out that the remote wouldn’t turn on. I figured the cold weather killed the batteries, so I changed them and still wouldn’t work. Maybe the news ones were dead from the cold also, went back to the marina and bought new batteries and it still didn’t work. So now we are fishing with no trolling motor which is not a deal breaker since I planned on fishing shallow anyway. Everytime I would throw the net my buddy would have to throw it in reverse to stop the boat and it would scatter the bait. Had to throw the net more than I like but we finally had enough. Went shallow and found fish but they wouldn’t eat. Went looking again and found some more fish but the same outcome. Ended up with 1 fish for the day but it was 25#. It was my buddies PB so that made the day worth it. We couldn’t even get box fish to bite.

I took a couple screen shots of holes as that we found in several places. It looks like there is some kind fish in some of them. Does anyone know what they are? They almost looked like giant bream beds.

I'd have been happy with that yesterday. Well done!

One good fish changes everything Matt! Way to go amigo! cheers

Those are Bluegill or small bass on their beds. Gills usually pack in a little tighter so they are probably small bass. I think it’s a little early for Gills but the Bass are about to do their thing...
