For peoples that have this reel, what are your thoughts good or bad. Thinking about getting one.

I am a pretty good skipper. I bought one and think it’s worth it. You can pitch further for one thing and don’t have to worry about taping your line. I don’t care how good a skipper you are if u use a really loose spool and u miss the target and hit a pole or something you’ll get a birdnest that takes time to get it out. A couple times I’ve had to cut the line out.The lews sp allows u to pick the worst backlash out and pretty quickly. I would call it a deal. Saying that if you want to use a reel for skipping pitching and casting then I would go with the Diawa SV and only spool it half way. Good luck.

I have two. One I really like and one that’s good enough.

I bought one and with some adjusting I was able to use it OK. But I stink at skipping casts. A friend of mine who is good bought one. He told me it backlashes more than he'd like and I think he prefers the Tatula SV TW. I've seen him with that reel (Tatula) and he is very good.
