Yeh What Butch said. I fished what I am guessing is the exact same area Butch has been fishing from '92 through the spring of 04 (I did miss the run in 03 due to OIF). Never remember seeing any "falls". Though maybe this was some insider info.

It’s getting to be that time again. Has anyone ventured up river to see if the run has started. I’ve been hearing some rumblings that whites were being caught at Gravel Crossing. I’m going to be heading up there soon, this weekend or next. I’ll post my findings here.

I’m going tomorrow after church and will post something. Hoping to get atleast a handful for dinner from gravel towards main lake.

I got blanked today. Put in at gravel and went towards the main lake about a mile. Others seemed slow as well. I imagine fish are just as shocked by the weather 10 days ago as we are!

Went yesterday and bank fished at GC. Only one crappie all day. Seems like no one caught much.

I think you need to go upstream about a mile. This time of year they are usually up past the big bend.

Went out yesterday, lake up to gravel trolling and picked up one white. Lots of traffic headed up that way. One guy had a mix of whites and crappies from trolling

I was up there as well. Caught 3 good sized Whites about 2 miles from GC late afternoon. Trolled back right before sunset. I caught 3 more. My daughter caught 3 or 4 and my granddaughter aught 3 or 4.
I have off all next week and will be fishing that area heavy. I’ll post a report on the conditions.

Went up past GC to my usual spots. Still not hot and heavy like I’m used to this time of year. I managed to catch 10 from 7:30 to 11:00am. I saw one other boat up there with 2 fishermen. They did a little better than I. I think they had around 15 apiece.
I kept 4 that were 14 inches or better for dinner that night. (Delicious) The others I took pictures then released. I’ll be up there Friday and Saturday if the storms tonight don’t hurt the river. I’ll let y’all know how I did.

Seems like this is the time of year to revive this thread. Anyone been up past the gravel crossing and get into any fish? Headed up there tomorrow if all things go as planned.
