The CEO of Oncor was testifying last week in front of the Texas legislature. His power was off while his neighbors was on, you're in good company.

From what I understand, if you happen to be on the same feed source as an essential critical care location like hospitals or nursing homes, police and fire stations, things like this, they were left on with no interruptions. If your home was on one of these lines you found yourself in a very fortune situation.

1. Blame the Texas legislature for not MANDATING changes made by a federal group in 2011. They made recommendations instead. 2. The PUC is a great example of the fox guarding the hen house. 3. Our state leadcers need to suck it up and get uncompromised, independent oversight to ERCOT and the PUC. 4. There will be a lot of lipstick put on this pig, but it will still be a pig when it is all said and done.

Not sure about rip-off but But a number of so-called bigwigs had their power and other utilities off so I believe that’s A contributing factor why there’s a lot of attention focused on ERCOT right now.

We were on generator power.

Whats your alternative. 3. Turn over oversight to the agencies that failed us, lol 4. You're right, quit applying.

Just curious Mark, was just your station or were all fire stations out? Bottom line, it was a bad situation. People are upset and rightly so. Most of us are used to and expect the lights to come on when we hit the switch. I expect there will be a lot of "corrections" made going forward to try and prevent this from ever having the opportunity to happen again.

Many of the hospitals lost power too. There was no real way for them to tell what they were cutting off. Covid research labs, and even police stations. Heck, they cut off power to the gas providers for their own plants.

Didn't hear that he turned it down. Right thing to do. He should have taken it and gave to the family whose kid froze to death. While tragic, I don't think that's his fault.

I dont see how Ercot or anyone else is responsible for the kid that died. Thats on the family. Just like I heard that a lawsuit should be filed against the toll road company on the Ft.Worth I-35 W pile-up. Im tired of people not accepting responsibility for there own mistakes. Both instances are tragic. But the only fault is on themselves.
