I currently have an hds12 gen 2 at the console and a hds7 at the bow. I was thinking about putting 2 - 93sv uhds at the console and one at the bow. I think it'll have a gt54 uhd transducer. How does the side imaging compare to the older lowrance units? Would it be much of an upgrade?

Yes it would a upgrade.. It has been a while since I ran lowrance but I have a 93UHD and the di is good. I do not use the SI a lot but I am pleased and it does what I need it for..I really got the 93sv to run livescope..I can't afford to much money with my kids staring college..
