For me anyway. I'm sure others have got them as well. So it begins in 2021! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/03/full-90510-87646-bedfish2021.jpg)

Unfortunately that was the male. Female was twice the size, but she was not locked well enough to catch.

you know I was going to say that but then he looks pretty big for a male, The biggest male I ever caught weighed in at just over 8 in Florida. The guide said the female was 17 as she broke my 30 pound mono going under the boat.

Excellent.
I’m fishing a lake that’s really good spawn fishing. I will look for them in the usual spots very first thing tomorrow.

Unfortunately that was the male. Female was twice the size, but she was not locked well enough to catch. How do you know that was the male? There's only like 2 ways I know how to tell and 1 of the ways isn't very reliable and that's looking at the booty hole. Circular is most of the time male and more oval is normally female but it's hard to tell a lot of times. Other way is by rubbing the belly back n forth until something comes out. Eggs or milt... Is there another way you can tell? Either way, congrats on the catch...that's one heck of a bass. You get a weight?
