I am wondering what colors of baits y’all are using this time of year in this super shallow cover in just inches of water. And what rod and reel y’all are fishing these baits on.

also want to note, i like making really long casts parallel to bank to hit the cover. Dont want to get right up on top of the fish. But fluke is also my go to, ill either fish it weightless or a with a split shot 6inches or so from the hook

watermelon candy red around vegetation, dark color senkos wacky rigged, and in beds colors light enough that you can see the baits.
