Absolutely on the trail boat and a big tip to the guide who will be working a lot harder than normal. It is not negative, I have taken a lot of kids out crappie fishing and love it, it is just more work. You would also I assume be fishing pretty much the same water as the kids even though it is at a distance, essentially getting in on the guide trip as well.

YourLakeForkGuide is a great one with young kids but I think he is booked through may now. Look at Jason Conn too, he is good as anyone.
