 Lowrance Gen 2 GPS Not Updating Location

I have an older model gen 2 up front. It's connected to a Gen 3 I have at the consol. For whatever reason about 9 months ago it stopped regularly updating my gps location. It'll occasionally update every 10-15 minutes, which is of course useless. I saw there were some software updates Lowrance was offering as it looks like this issue may not be unique. I've installed the updates with no success, the problem persists. Anyone encounter this before? Any insights to offer?

You need to see what your gps update is set to. Yours could be set to update every mile or so many minutes. Mines set to “every second”.

Double check the GPS source to make sure it reading the source you want. IF you did the update for the gps issue and that was not the problem then you may have introduced a problem that you can only fix by installing the reg software update with out the gps fix.
