Yay! Texas has lifted all COVID-19 restrictions and stated everything can go back to 100% normal for businesses. Will this allow Texas to surpass the Knoxville 2019 Classic event and become the largest of them yet? It’s a big hurdle, it was calculated that over 250k were in attendance over the multi day event! This is perfect timing!

Its actually in Texas this year @ Lake Ray Roberts June 11th - 13th. I went to the one on Conroe in 2017 awesome experience.

They scheduled the kayak’s championship tournament in the same area at the same time so they will be able to share the big stage at the big event, which is kind of cool considering the explosive growth in that area of the sport. Not to leave out mention Texas has made a lot of fishing news lately with all those huge ones being caught; so that may help attract even more people’s interest. All the right things are coming into alignment to help make this upcoming Bassmasters Classic a huge event... maybe the biggest ever! And it’s going to be broadcast LIVE on Fox, and am sure BASS will receive phenomenal coverage of the whole event!

Maybe they can give the kayakers nets to scoop up all the floaters after weigh in

I'm moving to DFW the first week of June. Super excited to go. I'm lucky they moved it.

That is a bad decision I think on their part. They keep saying tournament is in Ft Worth. The only thing in Ft Worth is expo and Dickies arena. Those outside Texas probably don’t realize Ray Roberts is nowhere near the arena and to move it to June. That basically our start to summer. Might be really rough on fish.

All they are going to do is host the biggest fish kill the lake has ever seen. Hoping tpwd steps up and puts a stop to hauling em 2 hours to weigh in and back in 90 degree water temp. Plenty of calls have been made to the head ups of tpwd!

In a normal non COVID year it probably would have set some attendance records.

It will, people who think this virus is a fairy tail, and there's a bunch in this state, haven't had it or someone they know die from it, I've had co-workers die from it.
