The cats were biting this morning in the sloughs. I had not been out in a month but found them shallow again. Luckily I had a net to get one beast into the boat this time.

I caught ten cats and all had swollen bellies. This didn't stop them from eating the chicken breast I used for bait. That bay had frozen over but I only saw one dead crappie.
