I bought a Garmin Striker Plus 7CV to put on the front of my 18' pontoon. I'm not sure if the transducer needs to be mounted on the trolling motor or a separate pole. I'm concerned about the length of wire needed for the TM when it is retracted on the deck. Is there a transducer pole available to reach the same depth as the trolling motor? Does it need to wired separately from the TM power source? Many questions????

I would be happy to show you my setup on my pontoon. Entire setup including mounting bracket and pole cost less than $100.00. Have the same setup on two pontoons and they work great.
