Luminant has delayed the reopening of Squaw Creek until October 8th, 2021 at a minimum with a validation of this date in September 2021 based on current COVID-19 protocols/projections. Please check this page for future updates.Squaw Creek Park Website

I'm guessing the Tilapia took a massive hit during the cold run. Anyone confirm?

Since the governor has re opened the State fully next week there is no reason why they should not reopen. If they dont then they dont want to reopen period. If that is the case then the people who want to fish that lake need to get their political representative involved. The State of Texas holds their operating permits. Just my opinion.

This place should be reopened now! They made a commitment to the community building nuclear there to also provide recreational use of the lake, if they continue to keep it closed I expect there will be some legal challenges to reopen
