We hadn't fished Amistad in a while so we headed west. Our friend joined us on this trip. We fished the first cove all along the edge bouncing our JIGLYF jigs on the bottom. Found the fish towards the end of cove.






We came across this shoulderless one sunning on a rock. Took the pic and kept going

We headed to last cove and fished it with ultra light tackle. Leo was using 1/64 on 2lb line. Our friend Carmen was using 1/32 on 4lb and i was using 1/16 on 4lb. We found a group of smallies and lmb along the point of a cliff. Fished there till the sun started to set.



We caught a triple!






It was a beautiful and great day to be on the water. All fish were released to swim another day.

They are almost silver in color, and that area you were fishing reminds me of the area around Marker 10.

Amistad sure does have beautiful fish! We were closer to marker 15.

Thanks Vogey they were white bass and yes there was a few smallmouth in the mix. We've caught some nice ones there!
