Nice. Been working on a few color variations myself. Do you ever use anything heavier than bead chain on these?

Doug, I use bead chain for the slower sink rate, and usually on #8 hook, but I'm still working to fill panfish boxes.
I mostly fish stillwater and don't need more weight.

Have you had a lot of luck with these? I've never fished with cypert minnows for sunfish or crappie. I usually use buggy patterns for sunfish and something with some weight, like a 1/32 ounce jig head fly for crappie.

J-moe, I can't say a lot of luck but on a jig hook I have caught a few. Kinda like a tiny crappie jig on a floating line and short leader for depth control.

Looks great. I have never tried using orange chenille but the chartreuse/pearl combination is my go-to.
