I know it's a little early this year but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Bass Pro Shop version of the Whopper Plopper in the past mainly the 110 version.

Haven't yet. I am wanting to try the new googan version, the plopper blade is in the middle of the bait, the action looks a lot greater than a whopper plopper.

Haven't tried the Bass Pro one but I bought some cheap ploppers off "Wish" for like a buck a couple years ago and I caught fish off them. So I'd imagine Bass Pro's would work fine.

I’ve caught several in the 4-5 lb range up to just shy of 8 lbs on the Bass Pro double plopper baits. There is a slightly faster retrieve required on the BPS ploppers to get bit. They are one of my favorite baits to throw.

Do you guys fish these baits around a lot of grass/weeds? I haven't fished the knock offs because my biggest hang up is the additional gap/joint where weeds can hang up and cause the bait to helicopter. Curious how these baits deal with that issue.
