We saw on split screen, two fishermen battling for the lead in final minutes of the Redcrest championship..both of them were casting to fish they could see on their live scope(or similar) screen....my prediction is that it won’t be long until there will be a camera on each screen and we can watch the fish’s reaction to the bait.....

No camera needed on a garmin, Ive shared videos Ive made on here in the past, it can be paired with your phone and record the screen live etc.

I thought he meant you would actually be able to see the shocked look on the fishes face.

I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"

Saw a note in the rules of Media Bass last night. No video surveillance of fish. In the Lowrance booklet for Active Target, it says, essentially, that it is a video feed directly to the MFD from the sonar interpretation box. Hmmm.

Eat. Sleep. Fish.

does that mean you can't use a live scope or does that mean you can't use an underwater tv camera in media bass tourny?

Too much sponsorship money to ban them

If everyone has super electronics (or huge motors, spot lock, et al) then winning becomes dependent on gear, not fisherman. Making the contest reflect fisherman knowledge, not gear; that boat already left the dock. Too much sponsorship money. But if you eliminated fisher's use of it, but still had it available so an observer could see how well the fisher had analyzed the situation; well, that sounds really exciting and still provides an avenue for sponsors to show how well their products help the everyday guy.

Maybe they should doesn’t sound very sporting. Kinda like paying to fish managed big bass lakes then bragging about catching a trophy.

How would banning certain electronics be any different than banning certain horsepower? Most engine manufacturers make a 300, 400 and now a 600hp outboard. Banning anything over a 250hp hasn't caused Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki or Honda to pull sponsorship from any of the bass fishing circuits... Plus where would Humminbird, Lowrance, Garmin take their advertising dollars???... Dan

If you think the big 3 marine electronics makes need bass fishing sponsorship your sorely mistaken. Bass fishing is a drop in the bucket globally. As for horsepower restrictions I don’t necessarily agree with it but it’s also a safety factor.

Oh I agree 100%, that's why I said they probably wouldn't leave. Not selling FFS to tournament fishermen isn't gonna make or break the market... Safety an iffy excuse... A Ranger going 76 versus 74mph isn't any more unsafe than trying to look over the twin 12's on the console and the double stack on the bow... Dan
