I wish it would have killed all my bermuda so I can cut it out and start over. You're not serious? It would take 2-3 years to gain line domination with new sod. I'm serious considering killing it all and putting in Arden 15 Bermuda. Zoysia. Thank me later.

I live on the SW end of Fork, Wood Co. I have a honeysuckle bush about 40' long that is not looking good. There are still some green leaves on the bottom, but all the rest of it is brown and looks dead.

Azaleas are under some oak trees so I'm hoping they make it .

if it is within my reach, I'm going to pet it.

There are lots of dead looking shrubs in our neighborhood. I pulled my card from the backyard trail camera and it had a picture that showed the temperature at -12ยฐ. Now I know why there is so much damage around us. Going to give everything a few more weeks to see if there is anything that greens back up, then start digging and pulling stuff up.

The knockouts need a lot of pruning and they are kind of a beeyotch with the thorns. They also get that โclumpingโ disease, Iโve had about 6 of them and they all got it.

Actually you may have coverage on your home owners policy (coverage for trees and shrubs) that is not subject to your deductible.
Maximum coverage for a tree is $250 per tree.

My Sago's and palms appear to be fine here in Houston. I read on the Sago's you should push on their center crown, if it's mushy they are toast. If its hard they are okay. Mine are fine and I even see little green shoots coming out. I'm slightly less sure on my Madjool palms, but the new fronds appear to have some green in them and are opening.

This is great to know. I hadn't considered this. Thanks. Shrubs are very expensive and I think we lost a bunch.
