Ezz er down there big guy, that's like saying you don't like someone's BBQ down here.

Lake Fork can be a difficult lake to figure out. It takes some time to get the jist of it. But once you do, there's nothing like fighting a green bull in a field of stumps. You better bring at least 20lb line and a reel with some drag until you figure out the nuances.

It's sort of like fishing Lake Dixon or another lake in CA and saying their over rated. You gotta put in your time my Cali friend. When you do figure it out and find where to stick the hogs (nothing the size of some of those CA bass....yet) you'll dig it and be inviting all your friends down.

Also note, your going from deep clear lakes with little to no cover to lakes that are absolutely loaded with mulitiple levels and layers of cover on top of structure.

I'm better prepared for Murray and Dixon next year and have found some of your Western Techniques work great down here. Keep us posted on your progress and PM me if you need some help warming your back seat and some gas money.

An over at the Pool is over 21 inches. You may be thinking of another lake.

Very nice fish!! thumb

I caught one last week that went 7.15 at the state park Marina. Talk about a battle trying to keep her out of the grass.

Any secrets to catching bass on Joe Pool. I have a tournament there in a couple of weeks and I have never seen the lake.

I thought I had a pattern, but it hasn't quite worked as well the last few times out. Working the hydrilla with pumpkin/chart power worms and red traps has been the best bet, but today I couldn't buy a bite on those. My wife pulled a couple on a black/blue PW and lost a real big one when it wrapped her around a stump.

Water-Surge----Not thinking of another lake....if you read what i posted i stated "1 over and 1 that went 20in" which was in addition to the "over." 7.15 is a nice Joe Pool catch!
