Went out the pond that is relatively shallow to see if anything survived this last freeze, since driving past it twice in the last week it had been frozen over except the area around the fountain. luckily there was plenty of minnows swimming around and brought out the fly rod which I hadn't touched in years and ended up getting these two whopper sunfish and a small bass, with plenty of misses (on my end) before sunset.

Looks like the sunfish are beating the bass to the table.

One of my favorite places to fly fish is a pond close by to where I live. Plenty of nice Bluegill and bass. Nice fish. It is always nice having a fishery you can go to and catch nice fish. woot

Side Note: What weight was your fly rod? noidea

Thanks. I have a 3weight I use on the ponds. The Bluegill/Sunfish are a BLAST to catch. Love the flyrod fight. boxing
