I think he is from Australia. I've never watched a show, just saw clips here and there. Thought he must have been kin to someone to get that gig because it wasn't talent that got him there.

I agree his current show is not good but he is much better when he does in-person interviewing and can play off the other person.

I agree, Mark. It’s not his politics. He’s just not funny. Some how he got the gig of a lifetime, though.

I think he can be pretty funny on stage, when he is doing actual stand up comedy. Not my favorite stuff by any stretch, but I don't dislike it. His show, before the pandemic when he had an audience, I thought was decent.
The way it has been for the last year or whatever - unwatchable. Nothing but cringe.

I'm just curious what they will use for content now that they don't have Trumpy to pick on.

I don't get it. This guy just is not funny. I don't care about his political leanings so take that out of the equation. He just has no comedic timing, forces jokes and lacks being funny. I thought maybe I was missing his humor but when I researched him a bit that seems to be the opinion of many. The show ratings have declined 40% since he took over. Some of it's him, but a lot is the writers. When they lost John Stewart, they also turned over the writing staff. Add to that the folks they lost in the previous years, Steven Colbert, Steve Carrell, etc and they just can't make up for that kind of loss. His timing seems terrible. Its a delivery issue as well.

Its not political for me. I don't mind entertainers with different views than mine. I just do not find Noah funny at all. I wonder how many funny comedians got passed over for him. How do you feel about Stephen Colbert? Since he comes on right after my local "news" segment on CBS, the prominent local affiliate, I will catch a few minutes of his opening monologue from time to time. His audience laughs quite heartily at his schtick. Other than that bit I never watch any "late night" TV shows.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.
