Fishing a High School tournament this weekend any reports. Curious about current water temps and what these fish might be doing. Before the freeze they might have been starting to stage pre spawn but who knows now?

Have not fished Canyon in awhile. That lake can be difficult at times. Sorry I can't help. Good luck on your tournament.

Water temps in Tom’s Creek two days ago was 50 +/-.
I got skunked over several hours tied up in two spots. Lots of surface activity after 6 p.m., especially east of the treeline.
Good luck!

Cotton candy lizards/baby brush hogs, carolina floating rig and Texas rigged. Drag it slow. Norman Deep Little N Crankbait, Texas or tropical shad. Work all over points inside, outside, around cover them well. Up river bout 2 miles from mouth to cypress cove work drop off along the shore (think about where flood current would pile brush and use your electronics to find those piles). Rip rap along the dam is good as well. Grew up fishing Canyon and when ever I go back above advice always works.
