Dang, this is bonkers. Dude is catching some giants. Good for him. Nah. Not bonkers! It’s typical. The only locals I’ve seen cry worse than this bunch of whiners is the Waco crowd.

I might be stirring the pot. A little. I always find it funny how possessive people get when they talk about a lake. It’s as if it’s their lake and not a public lake. I get it! It sucks when someone comes into an area (lake) that youve been fishing all the time, then catch those fish. It just proves that an open assessment of the conditions, combined with knowledge and technology might be a good thing.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I'm just excited somebody might have cracked the code on an untapped population of giant bass. We've all day dreamed about the giants that suspend out in open water, spawn in the tops of trees, and never see lures. Many of the huge bass John Hope tracked behaved just this way. The only time they were ever caught, if at all, was during the spawn. Why? Because fishing for suspended bass is wicked tough and everyone prefers to pound the bank.
I hope these phantoms are real and livescope helps more of them materialize! How cool would it be to start seeing lake records being made again! The. Ode on these fish was cracked long ago on Ivie. By nighttime live bait fisherman. Lots of pontoons launch about dark with a tank full of perch and go slaughter these big deep fish. I have seen ice chests with 3 limits of fish over 5 up to 10 pounds of bass. There were guides doing this several years ago and they will be back.

He's a hammer for sure. There is a place in Oklahoma that he has caught the huge majority of his big fish. He says it's public but I doubt it is. He was on one of Jimmy Houston's shows with him on that body of water and there was never a boat on it. Nor was there a boat in any of the backgrounds of his dozens and dozens of pictures. Now, I'm not hating but alot of those giants are coming out of small water with zero people fishing it. Again, he's a beast fisherman.... He's a hammer for sure. Man y’all Texans are sure being little b$$$$es the lakes up here are frozen so he comes down there and catches your fish. Oh wait they aren’t your fish I am sure he bought a Texas license so that gives him the right to catch and haul them around in his boat or even kill them and eat them. He is a dang good long haired fisherman and he didn’t hurt your fish. It’s a shame people get so jealous because they can’t do what he is. I bought a live scope because of watching him and it’s not as easy as he makes it look but I am getting better with it. I also plan to take a trip with him to learn more. Keep doing what you are doing Josh Jones and I hope you catch a Texas state record then they will really cry

So it's OK to haul one in your livewell if it pays $9000? How about if it pays $350 at the local tournament? Still ok? How about the Junior tournament where they get a bag of lures for winning? OK or not ok? How about a large bass of the day wins $20....ok...not ok? Please explain your RULES of acceptability.... It sounds like if you can't win a dollar, a bag of worms or a ribbon...the fish MUST be returned immediately.

There were no threads concerned about the 30-40lb bags being hauled in livewells from Rayburn earlier this year in tournaments.

True, though I think those guys took them to weigh in as soon as they could to keep from having them in the livewell any longer than they needed to.
