We had 4 adults and 2 kids last June and rented this cabin. It was perfect for us. Very clean, large, lots of room for vehicles with boats.

If they don't do something with the road, it is only going to be a continuous log jam of traffic.

My fishing partner took the Lt. Governor fishing this last fall. He said there are big plans for that area. Another marina, improving parking and boat ramps etc. It is ruined now already for sure. Needs road work first.

With the explosion of building, or overbuilding, in that area, has the local government made any moves to raise property taxes to help pay for road and infrastructure expense? With the rental rates at such high level with all the vacationers, it seems to me the properties are ripe for the picking by local government to get their piece of the pie.

there is supposed to be a giant casino built on 1500 acres, water park, golf course, etc, they claim Hochatown is going to be the next Branson, they will have to build a separate road for the casino, the existing road is a zoo at best, so much for a quiet getaway, those days are probably over

Here is the house we stayed in a couple of years ago. It was great. For large family vacation. A short hike down the road from Happykamper's restaurant.

Property taxes are high up there especially compared to rest of the county. I heard that the big casino wasn't going to get built until something with the road gets done.

Broken Bow will be another Lake Conroe in the near future.
