Was very happy to see a new winner!
Good for him. Oklahoma boy just won on the road course at Daytona, first NASCAR win. Chris Bell is a wheel man. He's tore it up at the Chili Bowl before too. He is good, but no Chase Elliot. The fastest car doesn't always win we saw today.

I'm on the fence about this type of racing. Pure Nascar circle track is boring. Road Course racing is legit .
The combo of the two is still pretty meh. I understand how people feel that way, but it’s hard for me to get too negative about anything Daytona. To see a road race that includes some 200mph racing is pretty entertaining.

7 road coarse races this year
Be interesting next year when they are more super car, road coarse type cars to see if the road courses are still exciting.

I’m waiting on the Bristol dirt race. Should be interesting.

Hopefully they get it right but I am not holding my breath after the debacle known as the "Car of Tomorrow."

Doubtful, I feel like the road course races are good because of the big ill handling cars etc. The new car will without a doubt be faster better handling better brakes, so the field will likely space out much more than it is now.

I love the road racing, but I think I would love it more if they would only race on true, purpose built tracks. I’ve been to many of the road tracks and would say races at Barber, Laguna, COTA, Road Atlanta, a few of the New England Track, Road America...all would be better tracks than the formulated tracks at Daytona and Charlotte. However, Daytona, Charlotte, Indy...have massive stands for spectators and most true road racing tracks have very little spectator grandstands.

Get rid of the stage racing and the playoff format and I'm back in.

Is it just me, or is this broadcast booth about the worst? There doesn’t seem to be any chemistry between Gordon and Bowyer. It is a real beating. Gordon is way to feminine. QA total beatdown in the booth.

Get rid of the stage racing and the playoff format and I'm back in. FOR REAL! Make it like dirt track racing. Have some heat races, and a C, B, A features.

The combo of the two is still pretty meh. Have you ever been to a NASCAR RACE? Yes. Several. I even lived in a suite at TMS for a while. I've even driven one. I took Lil Moto to a race a few years ago. She was asleep, and ready to go home by lap 30. They're a snooze fest.
