If they make the residential stuff there it will cause all brands to go up. Its crazy what's happening right now with commodity prices. Lumber, utilities, probably plumbing supplies, now this. Seems like this is building to a head quickly

Buy an American Standard. Made in the same factory as Trane and same parts as Trane but different sticker on the outside. They cost about half as much.

We updated our HVAC with a new Trane system a few years back working great zero issues. We use a reputable comapny from Lewisville called Southern Comfort I spoke with the owner he said if Trane was problematic he would simply switch and install another brand but that is simply not the case. A lot of issues on how they are installed and setup and maintained.

Switched both of our units to Trane a few years back.

Made it through -3 degree temperatures and the house stayed at 72 degrees!

Very satisfied with Trane!

I agree with you Spider. I bought a complete Trane system in 2009, cost was 11 grand, a Lennox dealer wanted 14.5 grand & Carrier wanted 13. The other guys wanted to replace all of my rigid duct with flex duct, I said NO WAY the Trane guys said they never replace rigid duct. Have had 2 minor issues all covered by the warranty. I have it serviced/inspected twice a year by the Company who installed it. Still running strong. When ever it comes time to replace it, it will be another Trane. I did buy the top of their line though & it is a 5 ton unit.

Reality. What a concept!

I had a Trane heat pump when I lived in Tennessee. This was back in probably 84 or 85. I personally was not happy with it.

20 years on a Trane, I've replaced 2 starting capacitors myself. Never blinked during this last weather event. Ran 24/7 for several days.
