2 weeks ago water temp was 49 and they were in timber and laydowns in 20' of water. I bet it's in the 30's now! Good luck!

Follow the boat show! If you see anybody with a jersey or decals on the boat, ease up to em and Mark the spot. Make sure you speak and mention a rod or bait you see on the boat! They wont get mad, in fact they might just tell you where the big girls are hiding! FYI, thats a top flight secret
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

LOP was 38 degrees right after sunrise this morning. Big sheets of thin ice were floating in the main lake in front of Johnson Creek. You had to fish around the edges of the ice sheets because you couldn’t drop your jig through it. That’s the first time I’ve ever used snow from my yard to ice down the fish in the ice chest.
Water temp rose to 43 this afternoon,
I did not see any evidence of a shad die off. The bottom of the channel is absolutely packed with schools of shad.

42 today when I got on the water and 45 to 46 when I left at 2pm.
Fished flats channels and brush piles from 16 to 35 feet with minnows and jigs and between me and buddy not one bite. Talked to 3 fishermen on water and none of them got any bites.
I saw shad in the channel but no schools out on the flats like usual. In this cold water do you think the shad would sink to the lake.floor when they die?
