Apparently, they ran it for a week two weeks ago when we had that minor cold snap.
But, with this major cold snap last week, the plant workers were unable to safely get it running due to frozen turbines/pipes or something of that nature. They were unable to prepare the plant prior to the accurately forecasted weather due to a man power issue.

Any truth to this? This is difficult to believe.

Without the warm-water output from the power plant, that's not surprising.

Bet there was a fish-kill in the area too. But they were just dust in the wind.

I believe it. I work on some power generation stuff, and a lot of fixtures nd things that you never even thought of froE up plants that operate full time. I can't imagine trying to get one going that had been moth balled.

When I looked 3 days ago there was alot more plants not running.
