Get in line. All companies that I deal with are now telling customers as of today that they are 10-14 days out and putting them on "the list" to be seen. Worse news is that companies are also already reporting a problem getting supplies for repairs due to shortages at the supply companies.

If your business is down or closed because your fire sprinkler system needs repair, check your local jurisdiction, ie your city fire marshal, and see if you can open by employing a "Fire Watch". Each municipality may differ a bit on the rules but you may be able to use a Fire Watch employee and at least get you open and returning to business until your fire sprinkler system is repaired.

Thats a good tip. Our office is out of commission due to sprinkler failure. We are able to be 100% remote but its a challenge.

I want to be on fire watch! Get me a Smokey the bear hat and shovel. Maybe a high tower.

Very good money to be made right now for anyone willing to do firewatch. I’m strongly considering trying to put together a crew specifically for that. Finding reliable and trustworthy people for night work is challenging to say the least. Even if it is for just standing around making sure a fire doesn’t break out.

I've been working from home for couple years now. Wonder if I could get away with adding 'Firewatch' onto my timesheet for some OT?
