Im VERY curious to know water temps on various lakes especially in central Texas now. Since I won't be able to catch up with work enough to hit a lake til next weekend I won't have the opportunity to experience it first hand.
I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"

Since you brought that up . . . Watching the live cast of the BASS guys at Knoxville and the FLW - Bastrop guys this past weekend; one of the anglers was saying "I never pay any attention to water temp. I just go fishing." Young guy with his nose stuck in the Live Scope screen. Don't remember his name.
Maybe Im just old school. That statement blew my mind. Especially when coming from a pro! Now there are times of the year when I dont pay much attention to water temp but right now is not one of them. In my book, this is THE MOST CRITICAL time of the year to watch the water temp. If Im bouncing from one bay or inlet to the next, if I find a cold one, Im out of there pretty quick. Likewise, if I get on a red clay bank on the north side of the lake and see that the temp is 5 degrees warmer than everywhere else, IT'S ON!

I found 62.5 degrees in the back of a Palestine cove today. 58 for main lake, I was surprised how warm.
