For those who have made the switch to lithium which battery charger are you using???... I'm thinking of making switch and want to make sure I'm charging the correctly and to their fullest... The dealer here locally has a killer deal but doesn't have a lot of experience with lithium... And, is it possible to find a battery charger that charges 3 lithium's and one AGM??? Dan

I use the Minn Kota Precision for three lithium’s and one AGM. No issues, works great.

I’m running 3 Ionic 50ah lithium’s for my 36V Ultrex. Unless you’re fishing in a strong current they are plenty. Typical day of 8 hours plus of fishing I’m still at 70%-80% and that’s while using spotlock most of the day. Lowest I’ve been down to was mid 60’s and that was a long day using spotlock in probably the windiest conditions I’ll ever fish in

Power Pole Charge will take care of this.

Power Pole Charge will take care of this. I may be wrong but I don't think you can mix lithiums with agm or lead acid from my understanding when using the Power Pole Charger. I use minnkota 440 precision charger

Danny at stealth who sells the stealth charge on the run ships out a standard agm charger in his kits to charge lithiums.
You dont need a special charger. the lithium profile does charge faster though if you have one programed.
My set up uses Dannys charge on the run set up, I have a plug in charger to charge my start and then the stealth charges my 36v when the start is to xxx and while on the lake it also charges.
I used Dannys little lightweight charger for a year but it was only 12amps total, so some times if I fished late and got up early it was still charging.
I had a 2 bank 15a each side programmed and use it now with both sides connected to my start battery..

Just looked at the disclaimer on the Bass Cat site about Zack Birge's fire. Seems the fire was associated with lithium batteries. Haven't found specific details about battery brand or charger type. Don't think i'll put 'em in my Ranger yet.

I use minnkota 440 precision charger I think you are wrong. I've read the Charge installation and user guide just to be informed on what it can and can't do. It appears to support Lithium for trolling motor batteries while allowing a separate choice for the starting/main battery. In fact, there's a special section on the use of lithium batteries.

Dan The NOCO GENPRO10x4 charger supports different battery technologies on a per bank basis. It has four independent 10 amp banks, each of which can be user programmed (waterproof button for each bank on the charger case). Choices include AGM and Lithium.

Don't think i'll put 'em in my Ranger yet. Charger Id bet the farm on it. MOST chargers for cars etc are vented a lot to keep heat down, our boat ones are not, they get really really hot, most of us leave the rear compartment cracked open or all the way open, a small fan in there would probably go a long ways to help charger life.
