I'm sure in a day or so when we start getting out on the water I wonder what the temperatures of the lakes will be. It is going to be interesting how quickly the cold weather has changed things now (and going forward). Starting to feel a little cooped up (actually a lot) but, seeing that sun today made me feel a lot better. If you get to go out, let us know.

I’m already hooked up and ready to go. Won’t be leaving till around 8 or so. I’ll report back what I find tomorrow.

Thank goodness roads are still terrible and my tournament tomorrow was canceled. I have no desire to endure the beating of fishing 40° or colder water anymore. I don't make my living fishing so if it's not fun I don't do it unless I have to.

Curious as to what lake temps around Austin are as well. Travis was in the high 50's three weeks ago so Jarrett is probably right about them being ready.

I had it on KRLD this morning in the truck and there is a fishing guides show, can't remember which lakes they said but some of the north texas water temps are in the upper 30's right now.

A few will catch some good fish. They always do. Everyone else will struggle to get a bite. Years ago I fished a tournament with 40° water where the winner caught close to 30 pounds in one spot. Almost everyone else had one fish or zero. We got one bite all day. When the winning weight was posted the talk was that the lake was on fire.
