A lot of posts on here and threads about this cold but, I havent seen anyone mention this, whenever it gets where its going to be below freezing you should crack a faucet and let it run, dripping isnt enough, I found that out in my rv.

It will usually keep enough water moving in your pipes to prevent them from freezing.

Wotks unless you are on an aerobic septic, freeze up the sprinklers and you're screwed. I have been dripping mine since fri evening. Good so far.
Tankless on outside walls are another story, froze up fri due to propane being too low to run them.

Water is off over here. Had a water main break last night. Guess it's still not fixed.

Yep. Keep the one furthest from the street on a small, steady trickle. Since last Saturday. No issues here whatsoever. Even at -2 degrees. Use the “hot” side as well as the “cold” side. Keeps all the lines flowing freely. Also, flush the toilets on a semi regular (I’m getting older...nothings “regular”) basis.

Good point. In the past I think my spray sprinklers just break and then the water shoots out in a stream instead of a spray. At least I hope that is what happens this time.

Agreed. I had to run over to a rent house today (vacant because we're trying to do make-ready to sell it). Thankfully the pipes weren't frozen, and I turned every faucet to a trickle.

We set our phone alarms every 2 hrs and got up to turn on every faucet for 30-45sec. Flushed toilets as well. Zero frozen h2o issues thank God. Lowest temp 1.9deg. We’re on well water.

I’ve been doing the same, Steez. Good advice, Jeff.

We've been doing that the last 3 days. It worked until today. I was told low water pressure could cause it to stop and we are on top of a big hill that overlooks N.B.

Been doing that all my life when it freezes... we lost water completely in the last 2 hours. I'm praying no pipes freeze.

Been doing that as well. Haven’t had any problems until last night. Took a shower around 7. Everything was fine. Around 9 there was no hot water and none this morning either.
