Wife is on her 4th or 5th vacuum over past many years. One of those everything-on-the-wand machines, same as the previous ones. What is it about these that women love so much? It's heavy and you carry most of the weight when using it. It's clumsy. The hose, when detached, is supposed to reach 12-15 feet but you need someone holding the rest of the machine to achieve any reach at all. Compared to the wheel-mounted cannister vacuum that you pull around while carrying the relatively much lighter wand-on-hose I think there's no comparison, the cannister wins every time. I don't get it.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Best thing I ever bought was a battery powered upright. Combine that with a battery powered handheld and it does every type of job you need.

Mr RayBob insisted on the Sears drag around cannister type. It is writhing in it' death throe now. Be glad when we can get something more user friendly now that our local Sears is kaput !.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Yep, Elizabeth decided she wanted the Dyson Ball last time we were in need of a new vacuum. I had sticker shock, but the world runs better when she is happy.

I read once the reason men like to fish is because when a fish is pulling on your line,it sends little small electronic impules wich causes you to have tiny brain orgasms.....am pretty sure that women get these same tiny brain orgasms when they are running a vaccum cleaner or swiping a charge card.....

My mom swore by Kirby vacuums when I was young. She still has the original and it is 37 years old. She has been using the Shark the last few years and loves it. That Kirby is so freaking heavy for such a small item. I've tried to get her to get rid of it, but nope...

Problem is, my wife thinks that a vac will pick up quarters; 16 penny nails; legos, then wonders why it don’t work anymore

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

I wouldn’t know. We’ve had central vacuuming systems in our houses since ‘92. Just move the hose from room to room.

We put one in at my old church when we built it. Very cool system!

My wife vacuums with a higher end Hoover, but she doesn’t empty it, so she runs it until it’s stuffed full then wonders why it won’t pull anymore
