in a closed closet in tha garage.. back and one side of "closet" non insulated?.. supply comes up in back wall.. don't know if thats a fact or not with being non insulated?.. only thing i can figure??? back wall (both sides) would be considered "outside" walls.. one side wall (both sides)and door to closet facing inside garage.. clear as mud with description?.. gas heater.. always warm in closet that i remember?

Your going to laugh when I tell you this, but hot water freezes quicker. Put a tray of hot water and a tray of cold water in the freezer and watch. Professor in college explained it like once the process starts the hot accelerates the change.

Had a plumber one time hook the hot water to the ice maker, builder caught it and told us that hot water freezes quicker, we all laughed in his face. Then learned this in physics class later on, plumber knew his chit! Lol

My well house froze up, caught the break early, turned it off, replaced the pipe, but water will not flow now, hopefully it’s just a piece of ice in the riser and will thaw out today.

We had no hot water yesterday at noon. We left to get my wife and daughter out of the house, because I’ve had work and they’ve been stuck at home. They left the hot water turned on while we were gone and when we got home an hour and a half or so later, hot water was going.

Your going to laugh when I tell you this, but hot water freezes quicker. Put a tray of hot water and a tray of cold water in the freezer and watch. Professor in college explained it like once the process starts the hot accelerates the change. This is exactly right, I believe it has to do with oxygen levels in hot water

Ice maker hooked to hot water. By the time the hot water gets to the icemaker it already full and has turned off. It don't hurt anything, just no advantage.
