Are they even a thing here in Texas? I hear about them up North a lot but never here. Maybe the sewage treatment plants would be a good place to start?

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

If a power plant is generating, then yes.

Martin Creek discharge

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I used to love to fish the discharge at Lake Bastrop in the Winter. It was great. Steam coming off the water, catching fish, etc. Not anymore.

Be safe,

For me, that is one beautiful picture of winter time fishing.

I won't get to experience even once this season because of all the closures.

Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

Fayette this weekend the water temp in the discharge was 60 degrees, no steam coming off the cooling ponds.
