Back-up propane is good but you need power to run the furnace blower.

CoServ up here. We’re on for about 30 minutes, then off 45 - 1 hour...been that way since around 2am. When it goes off, it’s pitch black...no candles, no nothing...just sit here in dark silence, like my truck keys do when I’m sleeping. I don’t do well when it’s just me and my thoughts.

The power went out in Westminster around 3 this morning. TMNP says we might get it back Tuesday around 5 pm. No rolling blackout, no on for 30 off for 30. Just left us in the cold.

Power went off at 5:35 p.m. still off. Those 4 hours it was on were nice...

I did get to shower and heat up the stew.

Knowing how to cold weather camp is coming in handy, just never thought I'd be utilizing that information inside my own home.

Be safe. Stay warm! Check on your loved ones!!

If you are in lewisville or north Dallas area and have a need, post it up. I may have access to some trees to cut in the morning. It may be green oaks, but probably burns. Not sure what else I have to offer. Maybe an ove or grill for some hot food

Maybe coal fired plants were not such a bad impact?
